CBI recovers Rs 20 crore cash from raiding Revenue officer’s EPFO office
The investigating agency has now registered a case against the
IRS officer, currently a financial advisor and chief accounts officer at the
Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in Delhi, for allegedly
misappropriation of assets and adding to his income through wrongful means.
An Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer accused of
corruption was raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)
across seven locations including official and residential
recovering almost Rs 20 crore in cash on Tuesday
evening.
“The searches were carried out at the official
and residential premises of the IRS officer and others which led to the
recovery of Rs.20 crore cash, incriminating documents
relating to investments worth Rs.20 crore, properties, fixed deposits and
others,” the official added.
The investigating agency has now registered a
case against the IRS officer, currently a financial advisor and chief accounts
officer at the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) in Delhi, for allegedly
misappropriation of assets and adding to his income through deceitful means.
IRS officer Sanjay Kumar, his wife Smita Soni,
some unidentified persons and two other firms based in Mumbai and New Delhi
have been booked by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case.(ALSO SAID:CBI registers DA case against EPFO official).
The CBI is also speculating whether the IRS
officer’s wife had allegedly encouraged him in the crime. The agency had also
conducted searches in atleast seven locations in New Delhi, Mumbai and Patna.

தட்கல் முறையில் முன்பதிவு செய்யப்படும் ரயில் டிக்கெட்டுகளின்
கட்டணங்களை திடீரென ரயில்வே துறை உயர்த்தியுள்ளது. அதன்படி தூங்கும் வசதி கொண்ட
பெட்டிகளில், தூரத்தைப் பொறுத்து, தட்கல் டிக்கெட்டுக்கான குறைந்தபட்ச கட்டணம்
ரூ.90 ஆகவும், அதிகபட்ச கட்டணம் ரூ.175 ஆகவும் இருந்தது. இது முறையே, ரூ.100
ஆகவும், ரூ.200 ஆகவும் உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

ஏ.சி.வகுப்புகளுக்கு தட்கல் கட்டணம் ரூ.250 லிருந்து ரூ.300 ஆகவும், 2-வது வகுப்பு
ஏ.சி. எக்ஸிகியூட்டி வசதிகளுக்கு குறைந்தபட்ச தட்கல் கட்டணம் ரூ.300 லிருந்து
ரூ.400 ஆக உயர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஏ.சி. வகுப்பு கட்டணமும் உயர்த்தப்பட்டு உள்ளது.
அதிகபட்சம் ரூ.100 வரை உயருகிறது. இந்த கட்டண உயர்வு, நாளை முதல் அமலுக்கு
வருகிறது.
இருப்பினும், இரண்டாம் வகுப்பு இருக்கை வசதி கொண்ட பெட்டிகளுக்கான
தட்கல் டிக்கெட் முன்பதிவு கட்டணத்தில் எந்த மாற்றமும் இல்லை. அதில் குறைந்தபட்ச
கட்டணம் ரூ.10 ஆகவும், அதிகபட்ச கட்டணம் ரூ.15 ஆகவும் நீடிக்கும் என்று
தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
